CLIMATES
Here I make a summary about the diferent climates thet we can find in all the world. The
climates that i developed are Equatorial,Tropical Continental,Monsoon,Hot
desert and cold climate. They had a specific features.
Equatorial:Zones with an equatorial climate are found 5º either side of the equator. The main areas are the large draimage basins of the Amazons(south America)anda Congo(Africa)rivers and the extreme south.East of Asia. These areas have annual rainfall totals in high amounts 2000m.m.
There are some places like Manaus where may have months elter when the sun is overhead at the opposite tropic.Winds are soft. This climate is characterized by its higt humidity. One day is similar to another some places receive 12 hours of dayligth and 12 hours of darkness.
Tropical Continental:This climate is found in central parts of continents, away from coasts and between latitudes 5 and 15 north and south of the Equator. This includes the Brazilian and parts of Venenzuela, north Australia and a large semi circle surrounding the congo Basin.
It is characterized by the etternate wet an dry seasons. This is because of the movemets of the overhead sun.
The hot and wet season is when the sun is overhead in the northen hemisphere and the dry season is when the sun is overhead in the opposite hemisphere.
Monsoon,Hot desert and cold climate:The meaning of Monsoon is season. In the south east asia there are two seasons. They are called south wets monsoon and the north east monsoon this is a result of the reversal in the direction of wind.In the South wets Monsoon the sun rises overhead at the Tropic of Cancer,in june.Areas to the north of the Himalayas which are long way fom any influence of the sea.
In the north east Monsoon,in the northen winter, the sun transfers souterwards areas to the north of Himalayas are now colder and a big pert of high presure forms winds blow cutwards from the highy pressure area.
Hot deserts:These areas have high annual temperatures they are under 250 mm of rain per year.Evapotraspiration is high.In compares of deserts are very dry they have some precipitation like Atacama and Nanb.
Cold Climate:This climate is found to the poured side of 60 IN Euroasia, where extends from Scandinaria across Russia to the Pacific and cross North America,Central Alasia and Norther Canada.
It is also characterized by the lage annual range in temperatures.
Also summer are short, but warm precipitation is light throughout the year because the air is cool.

Natural Disaster...Nueva Guinea Tsunami
The natural disaster my group choose was Nueva Guinea Tsunami:
The 1998 Papua New Guinea earthquake was a magnitude 7.0 earthquake that took place in the early evening of Friday, 17 July 1998.
The earthquake struck the north coast region of Papua New Guinea, 25 km (16 mi) from the coast near Aitape, and caused a large undersea landslide, which in turn caused a tsunami.
The tsunami resulted in at least 2,200 people being killed, thousands being injured, about 9,500 homeless and about 500 missing.
The area worst hit was a 30 km (19 mi) coastal strip running north-west from Aitape to the village of Sissano. Several villages in the path of the tsunami were completely destroyed and others extensively damaged.
The earthquake occurred at 6:49pm local time along the boundary of the Australia and the Pacific tetonic plates at
2°58′S 141°55′E / 2.96°S 141.92°E / -2.96; 141.92.
And here there's a video that shows the way the tsunami was created and how was the civilization after this natural disaster:

BIOMES
In the class of environmental management with Ale with have learnt about the Biomes and I have designed diferents popplets and google docs.
This popplet is about the grasslands. It shows the different kinds of grasslands and its characteristic .
This popplet is about the desert. It shows a lot of information of the different kinds of desert you can see pictures of the different types of desert .
Here is a .google docs of tundra its has a lot information of tundra .I got the information in diferents kinds of sites.
Here is a popplet of the tundra you can read the information of the flora ,fauna ,climate, human impact, location and you can read extra information. Here is video we watched in class!

We have also been working on scribble maps, in this maps we can colour different countries (in this case with the highest populations and death rates, birth rates and language) here is my scribble map!!
